{"id":4514,"date":"2016-12-14T08:08:29","date_gmt":"2016-12-14T16:08:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.atumvirt.com\/?p=4514"},"modified":"2016-12-14T08:08:29","modified_gmt":"2016-12-14T16:08:29","slug":"citrix-provisioning-services-7-12-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/avtempwp.azurewebsites.net\/2016\/12\/citrix-provisioning-services-7-12-released\/","title":{"rendered":"Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) 7.12 Released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: 300%;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 500%; color: #0000ff;\"><u><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.citrix.com\/downloads\/provisioning-services\/product-software\/provisioning-services-712.html\">Download page<\/a><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">Better late than never, PVS 7.12 has been released.\u00a0 Provisioning Services 7.12 includes a number of notable fixes, and a much-anticipated tech preview release of Linux VDA streaming.\u00a0 Additionally, PVS is now capable of clearing cached Windows credentials \u2013 a feature I know a few of my customers had inquired about.\u00a0 This will need to be enabled on existing vDisks but it is enabled by default on new vDisks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/docs.citrix.com\/en-us\/provisioning\/7-12\/whats-new\/_jcr_content\/par\/localizedimage_3aca.asset.spool\/localized\/vdisk-properties-cache-option.png\" alt=\"localized image\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Fixed Issues<\/h2>\n<h4>Console Issues<\/h4>\n<p><a name=\"par_richtext_d229\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A user on PVS 7.8 with &#8220;Farm Administrator&#8221; rights might not be able to connect to the server farm unless the account is in the same domain as the security group with the &#8220;Farm Administrator&#8221; rights.<br \/>\n[#LC5432]<\/li>\n<li>Attempts to create an ISO with the New-BootDeviceManager PowerShell script can fail and the following error message appears: &#8220;ISOFileName must be called with the name of the new ISO file to create.&#8221;<br \/>\n[#LC5559]<\/li>\n<li>After upgrading to PVS 7.11 from version 7.6, users in other domains might not be able to log on to the console.<br \/>\n[#LC6216]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>PVS console suffers delays when connecting to a Store on a remote share (NFS or SMB) containing many disks.<br \/>\n[#LC4765]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Streamed VM setup Wizard failed to create VM on SCVMM host.<br \/>\n[#LC5871]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a name=\"par_anchortitle_96a9\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Server Issues<\/h4>\n<p><a name=\"par_richtext_83e4\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Soapserver process is consuming more than 13 GB of RAM.<br \/>\n[#LC6199]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Two PVS servers might not be able to see the replication status of a vDisk on the opposite server, but each server shows the status of its own vDisks properly.<br \/>\n[#LC4317]<\/li>\n<li>PVS servers occasionally appear with the status &#8220;Server Unreachable&#8221; in the Replication Status window.<br \/>\n[#LC568]<\/li>\n<li>When running replication status for two PVS servers from the PVS console, the status for both servers is shown as incomplete.<br \/>\n[#LC5700]<\/li>\n<li>The BNPXE Server that enables the target devices to start from the network binds to the IP address 127.0.0.1. This prevents target devices from booting.
